Divisoria Park Cathedral de San Augustin Xavier Museum

Divisoria Park
The Divisoria heritage park, walking distance from Velez Street, is home to three of the city’s historical landmarks, depicting statues of iconic men impacting the city’s development.
#Traveltip: Begin at the edge of Divisoria by Xavier University and walk down towards the Mcdonalds to stop by all the statues. On the way, shop DVDs and fashion item or enjoy local snacks.

Xavier Museum
Explore a collection of relics and indigenous memorabilia on display at this scholastic museum, open to tourists and local students alike. Enrich your day with tales of the city’s historic past as well as its local myths, legends and customs.

Cathedral de San Augustin
One of the oldest standing basilicas in the city, this church of San Augustin features archaic design, high ceilings and stain glass windows. Daily service occurs every few hours, with candle lighting area open 24/7. Local flower stands sell fresh flower arrangements and the Mayor’s seat: Cagayan City Hall is across the street.

Parks and Recreation

Vicente de Lara Park
Northern Mindanao’s provincial park, it features a grandstand and the city’s press freedom monuments. Fronting the Provincial Capitol offices, this park is rife with community activity, from sale of fresh herbs & succulents, food & drinks or clothes, to local chess matches, morning Zumba classes and local basketball games.
#Travel Tip Wake up early and join the daily Zumba classes in the park or challenge a chess player to a match.

Pelaez Sports center
Located on Velez street, this integrated sports complex features a jogging circle, Olympic size lap pool, basketball & tennis courts, fully equipped gym and multiple fields for archery, soccer and Frisbee games. It is also the venue for annual sports Olympics in the region.
#Traveltip Bring out the swimtrunks and do practice laps in the pool for your travel fitness. Open from 630 am – 10pm daily

Gaston Park
Located within walking distance of the Cathedral, this local park features a “dancing fountain” light show on the weekends. Food & drink booths sell local fare, while games and balloons can be bought nearby.

Ayala Centrio Mall Gaisano City Malls Limketkai Center SM Premier (coming soon)

Ayala Centrio Mall
The first mall project of Ayala Land in Northern Mindanao, the Centrio Ayala mall is true to its name, with its city center location. Bringing in international BPO company Teleperformance and big fashion giant H&M, the mall also boasts an outdoor park, an activity center and multiple restaurants.

Gaisano City Malls
This sprawling mall complex is two large buildings connected by Bridgeway. One of the first malls in the city, this site has become synonymous with low prices and a variety of choices. Recently the Gaisano Mall is now linked to Centrio Ayala by pedestrian bridge.
#TravelTip Buy necessities at Gaisano then crossover to lounge at leisure in Centrio.

Limketkai Center
The Limketkai center is home to one of the city’s convention centers “The Atrium,” a popular site for local events. This mall is the largest in walking space, so much so that there is a golf cart available for rides. Popular local brands, Fully booked ,Golds Gym and Robinsons department stores/supermarket are also in residence.

SM Premier (coming soon)
This is the second mall project by SM group in the city, this time located in Downtown. Their “Premier” property, it is set to feature a convention centre, Imax theatre, international food concepts & fashion brands as well as BPO tower.#ComingSoon2017

Grand Central
Located in Divisoria, this food center is a favorite among college students in the area. With a Korean Movie Café & restaurant, French pastry house, Razons, spa, game centre and coffee shops, it is a fun stop for a quick lunch.

Corrales Eat Street
Head down Corrales street by car and stop by the latest local food concepts in the city. Homegrown brands vie for foodie renown with Instagram worthy ambience, delectable food and beautiful interiors. Whether you’re craving coffee, fresh seafood, French or Italian cuisine and curated whiskies, this is the place to be.

Lifestyle district
The Weekend hang out, the lifestyle district is a mix development of restaurants, bars, live music and karaoke studios. Now with BPO hub and gym, this is the place to go to end the week right.
