Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines — Newdawn Hotel Plus proudly served as the venue for the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training conducted by the Department of Tourism Region 10 (DOT-10) on January 26. The training gathered frontliners from the Grand City Hotels Inc. group, reinforcing a shared commitment to delivering exceptional Filipino hospitality rooted in the Mabuhay spirit.

Participating properties included Newdawn Hotel Plus, Newdawn Pensionne House, Grand City Hotel, Winmin Transient Inn, Hotel Valencia, and Nature’s Pensionne House, highlighting the group’s unified approach to professional service standards across Northern Mindanao’s hospitality sector.

The session was facilitated by FBSE resource speaker Ms. Maria Theresa Jean P. Boo, who guided participants through service principles anchored in Filipino values, cultural warmth, and globally competitive hospitality practices. The program aims to strengthen guest experience, elevate service quality, and promote the Philippines as a welcoming destination for both local and international travelers.
